Colloque des Jeunes Chercheurs en Sciences Cognitives
3-5 Jun 2015 Centre d'Innovation de l'Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France)

Conference of Young Researchers in Cognitive Sciences CJCSC 2015

This conference is intended as a place of scientific exchange for students and young researchers in cognitive sciences, for whom it represents their first opportunity to share their findings. This conference was organized every two years between 1995 and 2009, alternating between the student associations from the FRESCO (Fédération Française des Étudiants et Jeunes Chercheurs en Sciences de la Cognition) network.

Under the initiative of a group of students from the COSTECH lab of the Université Technologique de Compiègne, its 9th edition will take place between the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June 2015.

The objectives of the CJC-SC are to promote the cognitive sciences, to encourage the scientific community, to foster the meetings between young researchers and to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue within the domain. Moreover we wish to focus on the applications of cognitive sciences through an evening of reflection with our industrial partners, allowing participants to familiarize with this rising domain.

Who we are?

The fédération française des étudiants et jeunes chercheurs en sciences de la cognition, better known under the name of FRESCO is an association under the law of 1901 that regroups several regional associations that have as purpose the diffusion of knowledge in cognitive sciences and/or the regrouping of students in the field. In this way the federation has helped to develop and maintain a genuine national network of students and young researchers for the past ten years. With over 200 members, its activities benefit more than 2000 people (besides cognisciences daily activities). The federation’s statutes were filed in 2003 under the initiative of regional students associations, in order to have a structure capable of representing them at a national level. Therefore FRESCO acts as a privileged representative towards the RISC (Relais d’Information sur les Sciences de la Cognition, part of the CNRS), the ARCO (Association pour la Recherche Cognitive) and the Fondation Cognition.
